French Toast Protein Smoothie

· In: Health, Lifestyle, Recipes, Wellness

French Toast conjures up for me images of lazy Sunday mornings and smiling faces around the kitchen table. So last week while daydreaming about an upcoming brunch, the idea for a French Toast Smoothie popped in my head. I got to work in my kitchen and put together a recipe that has been taste tested and family approved. I have even served my Good Morning French Toast Protein Smoothie for dessert. (a great way to increase your protein intake)

I have found that it is perfect for a weekday breakfast, afternoon snack or to serve at a brunch. It has 24 grams of vegan protein plus essential vitamins and minerals which makes it a great (and healthy) choice.

Substituions:

If using a meal replacement protein powder (that means it qualifies as a complete meal) you can have this count as your meal. If you are looking for ways to keep it as low calorie as possible, you can use water instead of a non-dairy milk. You also may want to use unsweetened vanilla non-dairy milk. As always, read the labels. There are hidden sugars in so many of our favorite products.

I also add in a scoop of Gut Health prebiotic fiber powder because it keeps me fuller and we need more fiber in our diets. (it will not change the taste or color of the smoothie)

Of course you can add fruit, greens, or even chia seeds if you wish which would change the appearance and taste but will also boost the nutritional level.

Note: The recipe calls for organic maple extract however if you prefer your smoothie a little bit on the sweeter side, you can use organic maple syrup.

Let me know if you try it!

Enjoy!

  • 1/3 cup Vanilla Meal replacement protein powder I use Arbonne (see notes)
  • 1 tsp Organic Maple extract See notes
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 8 oz Vanilla or plain non-dairy milk can also use water instead
  • 5 cubes of ice (I crush first)
  • Fresh berries – optional serve with fresh berries on top if desired

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and mix well.
Serve immediately. Refrigerate any leftover smoothie.

Notes

If you are looking for a mighty but small blender, I highly recommend The Bullet Blender.
The Bullet is easy to store, use, and clean!
I have been using Arbonne protein powder for years and the meal replacement is my favorite. It is vegan, tastes great, and has 24 grams of protein. Plus, it can be mixed with just water (saves waste and calories) and still tastes great.
I love maple extract! It is great to keep on hand for recipes when you want the flavor but not the sugar.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned on my welln One of the biggest things I’ve learned on my wellness journey is that there isn’t a magic fix. Supplements are called supplements for a reason—they’re meant to complement the healthy choices we make every day, not replace them.
For me, true wellness is about creating simple, consistent habits: spending time in nature, taking care of my body and mind, nourishing myself with wholesome foods, and choosing clean, high-quality products I can feel good about—like Arbonne.
Most nutraceuticals work by supporting your body’s natural processes over time. They aren’t designed to create overnight miracles. Just like one walk in the woods or one workout won’t completely transform your health, one serving of collagen or GLP-1 support won’t either.
The magic happens in the consistency. Small choices, repeated day after day, add up to meaningful change. Be patient with your body, trust the process, and celebrate the healthy habits you’re building along the way. 🌿💚
